A Photographic Blog

Your Call is Important to us

A post from Andrew.

I’ve seen my wife do photography from the beginning. She always had an artistic ability and a love for the craft. When we were dating, she would send me collages and paintings in the mail when we were apart from each other. It’s one of her love languages.

Then in college, she decided to officially pursue photography. This was back when they were still doing “film” (remember that?) photography, and she was being trained on how to develop film in a darkroom. Like, a literal darkroom, with red lights and chemicals. She’d come home smelling like Bill Nye the Science Guy.

It’s always been a passion of hers, and she decided over time to turn that passion into her livelihood. That’s not a word you hear much anymore – “livelihood” – but it’s a powerful one. It’s the thing that she does, not just because it’s a chosen career, but because she loves it so much that she’s dedicated her creative energy to pursuing excellence in it. It gives her satisfaction to take your picture.

I think she does excellent work. I’m not just saying that – I really think she’s fantastic. The reason I think that is because of pictures like this.

I’m hoping you think so, too.

Your call is important to us. Your call tells us that you would like to invite her into your life to capture something beautiful and precious to you. Your call tells us that, in a world with photography options galore and cameras on your phones and digital pictures everywhere, you’ve seen something in Tiffany that spoke to you. Perhaps it’s her personality, perhaps it’s her artistic integrity, perhaps it’s the joy with which she interacts with every single person from toddlers to great grandparents. Probably it’s a combination of everything.

Most importantly, your call tells us that you care about her livelihood. That is worth more than most people realize.
